Description English: An oil-on-panel portrait of Sarah Lyttelton, Baroness Lyttelton (née Spencer) (1787–1870), a British courtier, governess to Edward VII of the United Kingdom and wife of William Lyttelton, 3rd Baron Lyttelton. She was the eldest daughter of the Whig politician Sir George Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer. The painting is believed to be a study for a group portrait of Sarah Spencer, Lady Lyttelton and William Lyttelton presently at Althorp, the seat of the Spencer family. Date 19th century. Medium oil on panel. Dimensions 11 × 9.5 in (27.9 × 24.1 cm).
