The New York Times Oct. 14, 1990 July wedding plans for Victoria Anne Strauss and Matthew Maxwell Taylor Kennedy, a son of Mrs. Robert F. Kennedy of McLean, Va., and the late Mr. Kennedy, have been made known by Ms. Strauss's parents, Bonnie Strauss Gould of Los Angeles and Benjamin Strauss of Haverford, Pa. Ms. Strauss is 26 years old, and her fiance, who is known as Max, is 25. They are law students at the University of Virginia. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University; Mr. Kennedy, of Harvard. They met four years ago at a Christmas Eve party. Ms. Strauss has been helping Mr. Kennedy run a summer camp for homeless children at Hickory Hill, the Robert Kennedy family home in McLean. The prospective bride's father is the chairman of the Pep Boys automobile parts and accessories stores, based in Philadelphia. Her mother is a television journalist. Ms. Strauss is a granddaughter of Mrs. Sidney Hudson of Los Angeles and the late Mr. Hudson, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Strauss of Philadelphia. The future bridegroom's father was the Attorney General in the Administration of President John F. Kennedy and a United States Senator from New York. He is a grandson of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Hyannisport, Mass., and the late Joseph P. Kennedy and of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Skakel of Greenwich, Conn. Text: 2022 Simon & Schuster Maxwell Taylor Kennedy graduated from Harvard University and the University of Virginia School of Law. He taught environmental studies at Boston College, where he cofounded the Urban Ecology Institute. Mr. Kennedy served as a prosecutor for three years before he collected and edited his first book, Make Gentle the Life of This World: The Vision of Robert Kennedy. Maxwell Taylor Kennedy is an avid scuba diver and co-led an expedition that located the wrecks of a fleet of pirate ships off Venezuela. He also participated in the National Geographic Explorers search for PT 109. A devoted maritime historian, Mr. Kennedy is currently an Associate Scholar of the John Carter Brown Library, a Center for Advanced Research in History and the Humanities at Brown University.
